this fall season is all about breaking the "rules" in fashion.  brown and black and grey all together?  yep!  mix up your neutrals and add pops of unexpected color.  no more matchy-matchy.  these are all looks from fossil...love them!!!

one of my favorite classes in college was color theory.  i took it as a 2 week summer class.  my favorite assignment in the class was making color palettes from pictures that we snapped, or magazine pictures that we were drawn to and liked.  it's amazing to see what color palettes nature can put together, or what beautiful combinations you will find in the most mundane settings.  so, i have decided that i will start doing some as blog posts.  i love working with color, so this is right up my alley!  i'm going to call the posts

the next time  you need a color palette...look at your favorite pictures!

miss ella belle

miss ella belle is the daughter of one of my college roommates.  it's hard to believe that she is already one year old!  her newborn pictures that i took last year are some of my favorites....so to think that she is already 1 is crazy!  we took some family pictures along with her birthday pictures. 

unfortunately it was a super windy day and the beautiful balloons slipped off her wrist and flew away!  lesson learned...be sure and have a weight at the end!
