tasty must have {bagel thins}

i was at the store the other day strolling down the bread aisle looking for a low cal option when these caught my eye...

they are bagel thins....thin bagels!  i love bagels, but never eat them b/c they can easily have 400 + calories in one, before you add any toppings.  so, you can imagine how excited i was when i saw these bagel thins.  they only have 110 calories!  with all the other nutritional info, they come to a total of 1 weight watchers point.  SCORE!  they are great as sandwiches or with some cream cheese for breakfast....or with nutella if you have a sweet tooth, the possibilities are endless.  my fave is the "everything", but the "plain" is good as well.  now when you are grocery shopping you can grab a package of bagels without feeling guilty!

winter lips solved!

this fall/winter i have had the worst case of dry, chapped lips.  i had been using Burt's Bees which in the past has worked great and i haven't had any problems with....until a month or so ago.  i noticed that my lips just hurt and weren't feeling any better.  i bought the medicated Burt's Bees thinking that would help, but instead they just got worse.  sarah and i were at bath & body works and she said that some of her students use their lip gloss all the time and their lips are always shiny & beautiful.  so, we went to check the lip gloss out...i happened to see something called a "lip buffer" and tried a sample.  it has these little sugar crystals that, when you rub your lips together, exfoliates and feels super good.  so, i bought a tube of the lip buffer and also their lip tint for easy color throughout the day.

i love this stuff...i have been so excited about it that i took my grandma to get some and then put them in the snow and took a picture!  i use the buffer in the morning and at night before bed and then follow the buffer with arbonne's chap stick, which is awesome as well.  anyways, all that to say that the next morning after using the buffer and arbonne chap stick, my lips were all better.  i know, you're thinking..."really, a post about lip stuff?"  but hey, that's what this is all about, right?  sharing awesome finds and such?

-they have awesome sales

just a couple of weeks ago they had all their swim wear on a great sale...pieces for $7.99 and $9.99 (they probably still have some left). 

-their home department has great sales as well throughout the year....400 thread count sheets for $29!  complete comforter/sham/bed skirt sets for $60!

-shoe sales...just bought a pair for $15!

-oh...and i can't forget the purse's they have...and yes...they clear those out as well!

most of their sales tend to be towards the end of each season w/ the largest sales at the end of summer and then winter.  my parents are huge dillards shoppers and always seem to scope out the good deals first...i'll try and pass it along as well.

GAP is just as great at sales.  growing up when we would shop there, mom wouldn't buy it unless it was $14.99 or under b/c give it a couple weeks and they would drop the price {trust me, it drove me crazy then, funny how now i appreciate it and do the same thing}.  once she did buy something if the price went down w/in two weeks she could go back, present her receipt and get the difference back!  How cool is that?

so the moral of this story is:

be a smart shopper and don't pay full price. 

trust me, it is MUCH more exciting when you find a great deal!
